Here it is!!!! It’s reveal day for the BEAD SOUP BLOG HOP!

Just as a reminder, here’s what my partner, Darlene Fortier, sent to me.

I used the yellow matte beads, the pearls, the focal bead and the clasp. I added some 8/0 metallic AB green beads, some silver wire, beads and spacers, and some crystal.  I stashed the antique steel cut seed beads in with my drawer of “favorite things ever.”

The bracelet is sized XXS, and it fit me perfectly and I ADORE it.

As a reminder, late last month, I signed up for the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party.
You can read more about it here http://goodrivergallery.blogspot.com/2013/01/bead-soup-blog-party-sign-ups.html.

I’d like you all to meet my Bead Soup Blog Party Swap Buddy, Darlene Fortier!  Darlene owns Darlicious Rejuvenations and in her own words she “creates one-of-a-kind recycled and salvaged jewelry with a hint of bike.”

As a reminder, late in january, I signed up for the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party.
You can read more about it here http://goodrivergallery.blogspot.com/2013/01/bead-soup-blog-party-sign-ups.html.

My Bead Soup Blog Party Swap Buddy is Darlene Fortier!  Darlene owns Darlicious Rejuvenations and in her own words she “creates one-of-a-kind recycled and salvaged jewelry with a hint of bike.”

You can see her her Etsy Store – http://www.etsy.com/shop/darlicioushouse
Or… you can follow her blog – http://www.darliciousrejuvenations.blogspot.com/

Here’s what she sent to me.  I’m not going to use the antique steel cut seed beads.  Why not?  Well, I collect antique seed beads, so they are just going into my own super secret dragon stash.  I haven’t decided what to do with the vintage glass vintage triangles, but the rest have been combined with some Toho 8/0 metallics.  Here’s what I have so far – its a bracelet!

I plan on adding… what else?  Fringe!  I’ve tried making some bellflowers using my new Carlo Dona press, but they just too big and took over that focal bead by George O’Grady.  So…  stop by on the reveal day (March 30) to see what I’ve done!

BEAD OF THE MONTH CLUBS on my Website! Stringer Bead

Did you know that I do bead of the month clubs?  There are a few to choose from, and you can either do a 3-month or 6-month subscription (they are great deals, but they are better deals at the 6-month level).  Read all about them here.

  • Focal Bead of the Month Club
  • Iris Bead of the Month Club
  • Orchid Bead of the Month Club
  • Biannual and Perennial Bead of the Month Club – Perfect for spring!

Way back in January, I blogged about my newest Etsy Team, the Etsy Bead Embroidery Guild.  You can read about them here.

We have challenges called “bead fests” and “mini bead fests.” The current Bead Fest is the STEAMPUNK BEAD FEST.  I got my entry done early and blogged about it here.

We had 14 entries this Bead Fest! Mine is in the second row – second from the right.  This fest had some truly amazing work by our members! Listing left to right:
Bead Fest:Steampunk
Row 1
Five Minutes to Midnight by EsmerldasStudio
Row 2
Captain Nemo’s Garden – by KraftKonfessions
Row 3
Metropolis by LuxVivensFashion

Here is another photo of the piece that I did…

The upcoming Bead Fest is “Kaleidescope” and the Mini Bead Fest is “Emerald.”  Thus far, I’ve taken part in all of the ones that have come my way, although the next two fall durig particularly busy times for me so i don’t think I’ll be able to do anything for them.

CLEARANCE Section on my Etsy!

I keep loading up this section with pendants, finished jewelry and beads.
Everything from super sweet to sorta goth-y.  Some of it is up to 60% off!

So, here’s what I sent to her!

There was another package too, with a handmade clasp and some other goodies that I’d forgotten to put in this package and photograph – hopefully she’ll let me know those arrived.

And here’s what I got.  I’ll have a preview of what I’ve made on or around March 15th and the final piece reveal is due on March 30th.

As a reminder, late last month, I signed up for the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party.
