Here it is!!!! It’s reveal day for the BEAD SOUP BLOG HOP!

Just as a reminder, here’s what my partner, Darlene Fortier, sent to me.

I used the yellow matte beads, the pearls, the focal bead and the clasp. I added some 8/0 metallic AB green beads, some silver wire, beads and spacers, and some crystal.  I stashed the antique steel cut seed beads in with my drawer of “favorite things ever.”

The bracelet is sized XXS, and it fit me perfectly and I ADORE it.

As a reminder, late last month, I signed up for the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party.
You can read more about it here

I’d like you all to meet my Bead Soup Blog Party Swap Buddy, Darlene Fortier!  Darlene owns Darlicious Rejuvenations and in her own words she “creates one-of-a-kind recycled and salvaged jewelry with a hint of bike.”
You can see her her Etsy Store –
Or… you can follow her blog –
My inspiration for my piece came from Kelli (Rae) Burns Lucie’s Daisy Patch bracelet.  You can see her original one below.  And better yet – you can buy a kit on her website:
Below is the full list of blogs to visit today – they should have all their new items up! Have a great day!

BEAD OF THE MONTH CLUBS on my Website! Stringer Bead

Did you know that I do bead of the month clubs?  There are a few to choose from, and you can either do a 3-month or 6-month subscription (they are great deals, but they are better deals at the 6-month level).  Read all about them here.

  • Focal Bead of the Month Club
  • Iris Bead of the Month Club
  • Orchid Bead of the Month Club
  • Biannual and Perennial Bead of the Month Club – Perfect for spring!

So, here’s what I sent to her!

There was another package too, with a handmade clasp and some other goodies that I’d forgotten to put in this package and photograph – hopefully she’ll let me know those arrived.

And here’s what I got.  I’ll have a preview of what I’ve made on or around March 15th and the final piece reveal is due on March 30th.

As a reminder, late last month, I signed up for the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party.
You can read more about it here

Classes this month at Gahanna Bead Studio

I’ll be teaching my Dahlia/Snowflake pendant (photo above), an Etsy sales class and my photography for the web class and a BRAND NEW Filigree Soutache Pendant (Feb 23, photo right)) at The Gahanna Bead Studio this month.

All materials are INCLUDED in these class fees.  You can sign up now for the classes at

Happy beading!

I don’t have anything to write today, so I thought I’d spread some Etsy love around.  Here are some more of my favorite items on Etsy.
Here’s a koi pair from creaturesfromel

Most of her work is by custom order and I absolutely am in love with the filigree qualities about them.
This precious metal clay box  by wanaree is incredible.

She also does online classes, apparently.  This is an idea I’ve been meaning to try out…
And… here’s a scarf my MOM made! You can find more at JoyRosner

I love her work – its perfect for this time of year – all soft and cuddley.
That’s it for today!  Enjoy!

I got nothing for today, so I thought I’d just add in a collage of my most recent photo shoot with Danielle.

All of these pieces of jewelry are available on my Etsy.  Some might be on clearance!

I don’t have anything to write today, so I thought I’d spread some Etsy love around.  Here are some of my favorite items on Etsy.
First up, a dragonfly from Mythologicae

You can get him in different colors, too!  This is actually one of the earliest itesm I favorited on Etsy.  I just think he’s too darned cute.  You should see the hatchlings, too…
Next up… a moth ornament/brooch from BlueTerracotta

I love this little guy, and he’s pretty reasonably priced.  The shipping from the UK might be a bit of change, though.

Here’s a steampunk/gothic style pendant from twistedsisterarts

This will probably freak out my friend Barb; she’s not into eyeball jewelry. But I love it, and the artist has made wire wrap skills.
And finally, here’s a polymer clay vessel from KateTractonDesigns

She also does lovely seed bead work.  Check her stuff out!
That’s it for today.  More next week!
